Job Description:
Zenergize Power Tech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and technically exceptional Lead – Power Electronics Products to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of advanced power electronics systems, including EV chargers, grid-tie inverters, and other industrial power conversion solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in power electronics, strong embedded systems understanding, and a proven track record of delivering complex power products from concept to production. This high-impact leadership role will involve technical decision-making, project ownership, and mentorship of cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of end-to-end power electronics products (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC converters)
- Own complete product lifecycle: concept, design, prototyping, testing, certification, and production ramp-up
- Define and drive control strategy implementation using digital control on MCUs/DSPs (e.g., TI C2000, Infineon PSoC, STM32)
- Make key technical decisions in topology selection, component sizing, thermal design, EMI/EMC mitigation, and protection
- Guide schematic, layout, and firmware development teams with best practices for high-performance and reliable power hardware
- Drive compliance with IEC, BIS, and CISPR standards for safety and EMI/EMC
- Interface with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability and cost optimization
- Mentor and lead junior and mid-level engineers; establish technical direction for the power electronics group
- Coordinate with executive leadership on R&D roadmap and support customer/product strategy
- Represent the company’s technology vision in external forums, industry consortia, and technical audits
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in hands-on design and leadership of power electronics product development
- Strong fundamentals in converter topologies, control theory, magnetics, power semiconductors (IGBT, SiC, GaN), and thermal management
- Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality power products at scale
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++, simulation tools (MATLAB, PLECS, LTspice), and PCB design workflows
- Familiarity with industrial standards (IEC 61851, IS 17017, IEC 61000 series, BIS, etc.)
Preferred Qualities
- Experience with EV charging systems, solar inverters, or motor drive applications
- Exposure to SiC/GaN design and high-frequency magnetics
- Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC pre-compliance and certification testing
- Strong documentation, communication, and project management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement
