Zenergize, a fast-growing EV charger startup in India, has raised $2 million (₹17 crore) in seed funding to accelerate its clean tech manufacturing efforts. The funding round was led by Delhivery cofounder Mohit Tandon and Aspiring Minds founder Himanshu Aggarwal.jhghh
The Gurugram-based startup will use the capital to expand its production of high-efficiency EV fast chargers and solar inverters, with a strong focus on research and development (R&D), service support, and workforce growth. This move aligns with the Indian government’s push to scale EV infrastructure under initiatives like the PM E-DRIVE scheme, which allocates ₹2,000 crore for EV charging stations and battery-swapping facilities.
“We have an aggressive product roadmap and continue to invest in power electronics research and technology,” said Veer Karan Goyal, CTO and Co-founder of Zenergize.
“Our cutting-edge technology combined with a robust service and support network will help us build the scale and capacity to expand nationally,” added Navneet Daga, CEO and Co-founder.
The funding will also support hiring in engineering, servicing, and sales roles, as Zenergize continues to invest in local manufacturing and workforce development. The startup’s products are tailored to Indian conditions — from fluctuating grid voltage to extreme summer temperatures — and are built for reliability and efficiency.
The Indian EV market is expected to reach $152 billion by 2030, and startups like Zenergize are helping lead this transformation. As a Made-in-India EV charger startup, Zenergize is working to reduce the nation’s dependence on imported technology. Its roadmap includes predictive maintenance tools, solar inverter innovations, and strategic partnerships with energy and mobility providers.
