Solar Inverter Error Codes
Find your fault code in the table below and follow the recommended steps to resolve it.
How to Find Your Fault Code
Open the Zenergize app → Inverter Settings → Overall Performance → Fault Status. The current fault code will be displayed here. If Fault Code shows 0, there is no active fault.
Fault Code Reference
| Code | Fault Name | Recommended Action |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | No Fault | System operating normally |
| 1 | Grid Over Current | Check grid connection and cable sizing. Reset MCB. |
| 2 | Grid Under Current | Check grid connection. Contact support if persistent. |
| 3 | PV Over Current | Check PV string configuration and cable sizing. |
| 4 | PV Under Current | Check panel connections and shading conditions. |
| 5 | Grid Under Voltage | Check grid supply voltage. Contact your electricity provider if persistent. |
| 6 | Grid Over Voltage | Check grid supply voltage. Contact your electricity provider if persistent. |
| 7 | Grid Under Frequency | Grid frequency out of range. Contact your electricity provider. |
| 8 | Grid Over Frequency | Grid frequency out of range. Contact your electricity provider. |
| 9 | Residual Current Fault | Check earthing connections. Contact a qualified electrician. |
| 10 | DC Link Over Voltage | Check PV string voltage does not exceed 420 V. |
| 11 | DC Link Under Voltage | Check PV connections and panel output. |
| 12 | Soft Charge Failed | Restart inverter by switching Grid MCB off and on. Contact support if persistent. |
| 17 | PV Lower Power Trip | Low PV output - check shading, panel condition and connections. |
| 18 | INV Offset by Server | Inverter remotely offset by backend. Contact support. |
| 19 | PV Current Sensor Failure | Hardware fault. Contact support@zenergize.in immediately. |
| 20 | Hardware - Grid Over Current | Hardware fault. Do not reset. Contact support@zenergize.in immediately. |
| 21 | Hardware - Grid Under Current | Hardware fault. Contact support@zenergize.in immediately. |
| 22 | Hardware - PV Over Current | Hardware fault. Contact support@zenergize.in immediately. |
Codes highlighted in red are hardware faults - do not attempt a manual reset.
How to Reset
For most fault codes (1–17), perform a reset by switching OFF the Grid MCB, waiting 30 seconds, then switching it back ON. If the fault reappears after reset, contact support. For hardware faults (codes 19–22), do not attempt a reset - contact our support team directly.
Inverter LED Indicator States
Your Zenergize solar inverter has three LED indicators - Logo LED, Bar LED and WiFi LED.
| State | Logo LED | Bar LED | WiFi LED | What It Means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Startup | Blinking | Blinking | Blue | Inverter initialising |
| Generating | Green(blinking) | Green(blinking) | Blue | Solar generation active |
| Grid Absent | Grey | Red(solid) | Blue | Grid not detected, generation stopped |
| PV Absent | Grey | Red(solid) | Blue | No PV input detected |
| Fault (Grid+PV present) | Grey | Red(solid) | Blue | Fault condition active |
| Turning Off | Grey | Red→Off | Grey | System shutting down |
| WiFi Disconnected | Green | Green | Grey | WiFi not connected |
