Solar Inverter Error Codes

Find your fault code in the table below and follow the recommended steps to resolve it.

How to Find Your Fault Code

Open the Zenergize app → Inverter Settings → Overall Performance → Fault Status. The current fault code will be displayed here. If Fault Code shows 0, there is no active fault.

Fault Code Reference

CodeFault NameRecommended Action
0No FaultSystem operating normally
1Grid Over CurrentCheck grid connection and cable sizing. Reset MCB.
2Grid Under CurrentCheck grid connection. Contact support if persistent.
3PV Over CurrentCheck PV string configuration and cable sizing.
4PV Under CurrentCheck panel connections and shading conditions.
5Grid Under VoltageCheck grid supply voltage. Contact your electricity provider if persistent.
6Grid Over VoltageCheck grid supply voltage. Contact your electricity provider if persistent.
7Grid Under FrequencyGrid frequency out of range. Contact your electricity provider.
8Grid Over FrequencyGrid frequency out of range. Contact your electricity provider.
9Residual Current FaultCheck earthing connections. Contact a qualified electrician.
10DC Link Over VoltageCheck PV string voltage does not exceed 420 V.
11DC Link Under VoltageCheck PV connections and panel output.
12Soft Charge FailedRestart inverter by switching Grid MCB off and on. Contact support if persistent.
17PV Lower Power TripLow PV output - check shading, panel condition and connections.
18INV Offset by ServerInverter remotely offset by backend. Contact support.
19PV Current Sensor FailureHardware fault. Contact support@zenergize.in immediately.
20Hardware - Grid Over CurrentHardware fault. Do not reset. Contact support@zenergize.in immediately.
21Hardware - Grid Under CurrentHardware fault. Contact support@zenergize.in immediately.
22Hardware - PV Over CurrentHardware fault. Contact support@zenergize.in immediately.

Codes highlighted in red are hardware faults - do not attempt a manual reset.

How to Reset

For most fault codes (1–17), perform a reset by switching OFF the Grid MCB, waiting 30 seconds, then switching it back ON. If the fault reappears after reset, contact support. For hardware faults (codes 19–22), do not attempt a reset - contact our support team directly.
